tipping fruit and vegetable washing machine

Introduction

This commercial tipping-bowl fruit and vegetable washing machine, also known as a universal fruit and vegetable washer, is an automatic tipping-bowl type vegetable washing machine. It is specifically designed to meet the needs of washing large volumes of diverse ingredients, with its core feature being the unique automatic tipping-bowl unloading function.

The entire unit is constructed from high-quality 304 stainless steel, making it not only sturdy and durable but also highly resistant to corrosion and wear, allowing it to easily withstand complex working environments such as those with high humidity or high salt content. Its core control system integrates advanced automation technology, utilizing precise timing controls and hydraulic/pneumatic tipping mechanisms to achieve full automation from washing to discharge.

Working Principle

  1. After the machine is started, press the water inlet switch to fill the U-shaped washing tank with an appropriate amount of clean water. Then, activate the water circulation switch to create a closed-loop circulation system;
  2. Next, place the items to be washed into the stainless steel draining basket and start the washing program. The bubbling system generates a large number of bubbles that impact the surface of the items, loosening any attached mud and dirt;
  3. At the same time, the vortex system activates, creating a stable vortex within the washing tank that causes the items to tumble in all directions, ensuring every part of their surface comes into full contact with the clean water for thorough, dead-spot-free cleaning;
  4. During the cleaning process, silt and dirt settle to the bottom of the cleaning tank under the force of gravity, while floating impurities are intercepted by the filter screen to prevent secondary contamination;
  5. Once cleaning is complete, the flip mechanism is controlled via the electrical control panel to drive the lifting arm, raising and lowering the draining basket. This is combined with high-pressure spraying to complete a secondary rinse, followed by automatic unloading of the material.

Structural Components

  1. Stainless Steel Frame: Serving as the equipment’s supporting structure, it is constructed from thickened stainless steel square tubing. The robust frame offers high load-bearing capacity, ensuring stability during full-load operation and the tipping process.
  2. Stainless Steel Drainage Basket: Used to hold produce awaiting washing. The basket features a small-diameter perforated design that effectively prevents small pieces or diced vegetables from falling out while ensuring adequate water circulation and facilitating drainage.
  3. Tilting Mechanism: Comprising lifting arms, a hydraulic/pneumatic system, and electrical control components, this mechanism serves as the equipment’s “power arm.” It is responsible for smoothly and precisely lifting and tilting the draining baskets to enable automated unloading.
  4. Bubble Washing System: Located at the bottom of the washing tank, this system uses a blower and piping to generate a large volume of bubbles, creating a cleaning environment where air and water are thoroughly mixed.
  5. Vortex Cleaning System: Utilizes a water pump and specially designed nozzles to create a powerful rotating water current within the tank, ensuring the material is thoroughly agitated in the water.
  6. Automatic Control System: Integrated into the electrical control cabinet, this system includes the main circuit breaker, power switch, timer, start button, and up/down buttons. Operators can easily control the entire cleaning and discharge process via the control panel.
  7. Recirculation and Filtration System: This system comprises a filter screen, overflow outlet, and water recirculation switch. The filter screen traps floating debris, while the overflow outlet regulates the water level. In conjunction with the water recirculation switch, this system enables the reuse of wash water, conserving water resources.

Operating Instructions

  1. Preparation: Ensure the machine is placed on a level surface and connected to the power and water supplies. Check that all components are in good working order.
  2. Filling with Water: Turn on the water inlet valve to fill the washing tank until the water level reaches the specified line (a small amount of water should flow out of the overflow outlet).
  3. Loading: Place the items to be washed into the stainless steel draining basket, taking care not to exceed the maximum capacity.
  4. Setting the Wash Time: Turn on the main power switch in the control panel, then turn on the power switch. Set the desired wash time (e.g., 3–5 minutes) on the timer.
  5. Start washing: Press the start button. At this point, the vortex and bubbling systems will activate, creating powerful rotating water currents and bubbles in the washing tank to begin cleaning the materials. If you need to adjust the water flow intensity, use the water flow control valve.
  6. Circulation and filtration: To conserve water, turn on the water recirculation switch. During the washing process, floating impurities will flow through the overflow outlet into the filter screen, where they are trapped.
  7. Discharge: Once the cleaning cycle ends, the machine will emit an alert. The operator may then proceed with the discharge operation.
  8. Unloading: Press and hold the “Up/Down Button” and the “Up Button” on the control panel simultaneously. The draining basket will rise slowly and automatically flip, dumping the material into a pre-prepared receiving container.
  9. Reset: After the material has been discharged, press and hold the “Up/Down Button” and the “Down Button” simultaneously. The draining basket will automatically return to the washing tank, ready for the next batch of cleaning.
  10. Shutdown and Cleaning: Once all operations are complete, turn off the power and water supply, remove any debris from the filter screen, and clean the interior and exterior of the equipment.
