Working Principle
The operating principle of an external vacuum sealer is simple and efficient. The core process consists of two stages: vacuum extraction and sealing:
- Vacuum Extraction Stage: After placing the items to be packaged into the bag, position the bag opening in the machine’s sealing area. Upon activation, the vacuum pump rapidly extracts air from inside the bag through the suction tube. This process typically completes within 2 to 3 seconds, creating a pre-set negative pressure environment inside the bag. This effectively removes oxygen, inhibits microbial growth, and prevents oxidation of the contents.
- Sealing Stage: Once the vacuum level reaches the preset value, the system automatically stops the suction process. At this point, the heat sealing bar applies heat and pressure to the bag opening. The sponge-like silicone strip used in the equipment ensures that the bag opening maintains a secure seal after evacuation. The heat-sealed opening is flat, sturdy, and aesthetically pleasing, effectively preventing the ingress of external air and moisture.
Additionally, the equipment supports a gas-flushing function, which allows for the injection of protective gases such as nitrogen or carbon dioxide into the bag after vacuuming. This provides cushioning protection for fragile or pressure-sensitive products and further extends the shelf life of food items.
